Young People's Theatre Company is happy to call the Holdcraft Performing Arts Center their home. The Holdcraft Performing Arts Center (HPAC) is located near the historic Elston Grove and Uptown Arts District. The building sits on the site of the former Elston Junior High School which later became Elston High School, and is now the former Elston Middle School. The facility originally opened in 1981 and has since had various lighting, sound and rigging renovations along the way.  In early 2015, an agreement between the Michigan City Area Schools and Young People's Theatre Company was initiated, giving YPTC control of the venue. In 2016 the facility was renamed in honor of Stan Holdcraft, a former long time teacher and theater director at the high school, who was instrumental in the theater renovations and shared his love of theatre with decades of students. In addition to YPTC's regular performances, the venue is host to concerts, lectures, recitals, live theater and more.
